Initially announced as a ‘Wheel’, it seems that there could be some untapped potential in Microsoft’s new peripheral, and this time, it seems that reading the manual has unearthed new details…..Flight sim fans listen up!

While most manuals these days offer only a few pages of information you most likely already know, I have my tradition, so after receiving my Wireless Speed Wheel I did what I always do, read the manual!

Quoting under the section ‘Starting and Using Your Wireless Speed Wheel‘ it states –

So, could future flight games offer support for this new peripheral? How about other games in the racing genre that could benefit from this more precise motion, Jet Ski’s or a new Extreme G? Here’s hoping! Interesting Microsoft did not seem to publicise this feature of the new wheel, as it the only source of information about it comes from going over the manual with keen eye. Also, the fact that this can be used in conjunction with Kinect as seen in Forza Motorsport 4 means that there could be a bright future for this slightly odd looking device.

The Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel released along Forza Motorsport 4 this last Tuesday (US) or Friday (Europe)
