Posted September 19, 2013 by Richard Lee Breslin in Industry, Nintendo

We at Push-Start are very saddened along with the gaming community at the passing of former president of Nintendo Hiroshi Yamauchi.  Mr Yamauchi was the president at Nintendo from an amazing time spanning from 1949-2002.  Mr Yamauchi’s version of transforming Nintendo into a toy and card games company into the console giants that we know today and his influence has spanned over generations and welcomed gamers of all ages and walks of life.

Mr Yamauchi passed away in a Kyoto hospital after battling pneumonia at the age of 85.  We at Push-Start would like to thank Hiroshi Yamauchi for all the gifts that he has given us over the years and our sincere condenses goes to his family and friends.

Thank you Yamauchi.
