Sea of Thieves Gameplay Launch Trailer Released

Rare has released a gameplay launch trailer ahead of the release of Sea of Thieves this week. It mostly shows off things we’ve seen in previous trailers and footage, but it does contain footage of the Kraken, which looks absolutely fantastic.

As well all other footage of the game, what really stands out is how stunning Sea of Thieves looks. Its cel-shaded visuals really stand out, looking like a remastered Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It also shows off some of the customisation options available for your characters and ships, which seem much more extensive than expected.

Sea of Thieves releases for PC and Xbox on March 20th, so in just a few days you’ll be setting off on a new adventure.  Sea of Thieves will also be available at launch for those that subscribe to the Xbox One Game Pass, so if you haven’t done already and you’re tempted by this game, it might be worth taking advantage of that 14 day free trial.

I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. My first console was a Sega Megadrive, and my first game was Streets of Rage. I've recently graduated with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at Cardiff Met University. I'm a fan of role-playing games and first-person shooters, but these days you can usually find me building cities in Minecraft. My favourite games are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Bioshock.
