Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead creator will finish Telltales Final Season
Following the announcement last month regarding Telltale Games closing their doors and thus potentially not finishing the final season of The Walking Dead, Telltale Games stated that they are exploring avenues to at least finish Clementine’s story. It all went a little quiet after that, many fans feared that it was just talk that will likely result in no action. I myself own the season pass for the final season of The Walking Dead, but due to the potential of not getting closure on the story, I haven’t even begun episode one.
However, Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead has announced that his Skybound company will be hiring ex-Telltale staff. At the New York Comic Con, Kirkman stated to the crowd “We can’t lose Andrew Lincoln and Clementine in the same year” and they have “successfully negotiated with Telltale Games for our company Skybound to come in and see Season 4 of the Telltale game to completion”.
Kirkman also added that his Skybound team has “been very closely involved since its inception, it’s a piece of Skybound’s history, and a series that we hold dear to our hearts.”While no timeline has been revealed as to when the final episodes will be delivered, it’s fantastic news to hear that Robert Kirkman and Skybound have come in to save the day, to finish the story that fans also hold dear to their hearts after years of emotional investment.
We’ll update you as and when we hear any further developments regarding the concluding episodes of The Walking Dead: Final Season. So in the meantime, I guess I better get playing the first two episodes now.
