Resident Evil 2 ‘1-Shot’ Demo Releases This Week
As speculated last month, Resident Evil 2 will have a “1-shot” demo and it will be releasing this very week. As the name of the demo suggests, you will only get one shot at playing this demo (unless you have multiple profiles and consoles of course) and that’s your lot. You will have 30 minutes to beat the demo as Leon S. Kennedy, during that time you can attempt it as many times as you can within that time limit, resetting each death at the nearest checkpoint. But when your time is up, that’s it. You can restart the demo if you wish, though that won’t reset the timer.
However, upon completing the demo, you will also be greeted with an exclusive cinematic trailer, which can be viewed as many times as you wish. Though I’m sure it will also make its way on the internet, should you not be able to finish the playable demo within the 30 minute time limit.
The 1-shot demo will be available to download this Friday on the 11th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will end on January 31st. You can also check out the 1-Shot teaser trailer below.
I still don’t know if I’ll play this demo, even though Resident Evil 2 is my favourite game of all-time, because I’ve done well so far avoiding as many spoilers as I can, which includes only watching the original E3 2018 trailers.
Resident Evil 2 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 25th.
