Next Call of Duty To Be Unveiled This Sunday, May 4th

Just over a week ago an image was revealed that showcased a very impressively detailed character model, judging by that one image it is certainly leaps and bounds above what we have seen in the recent Call of Duty: Ghosts.  Well now Activision have thrown more fuel into the fire by sending out a tweet that reads “A New Era Arrives Call of Duty 3 Days Until the World Reveal”, it was accompanied by a link that leads us to a website without a countdown clock and a distorted image.  The day for the big reveal is Sunday May 4th.

Not much is known of the next Call of Duty as of yet, but what we do know is that it’s been in development for three years now be Sledgehammer Games.  Sledgehammer was founded by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, whom have both worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the original Dead Space.  So not only has this game been in development for three years, but we have two very capable and experienced developers at the helm

Also thanks to an image that was emailed along with the press release from Activision, it certainly appears that the next Call of Duty will centre on PMC’s (Private Military Corporations).  If you’re familiar with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Liberty then you should know of PMC’s and how profitable a carefully chosen war can be.

To add further to the PMC theme, along with the tweet on the official CoD Twitter account, a live action teaser trailer was released which again centred on the PMC theme and how much money can be made.  You can check out that trailer below.

To add further information into the currently unknown, by now we all know of all the great exclusives that Game Informer have captured in recent months, such as The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and more recently Batman: Arkham Knight.  Well now it seems their next big scoop will be the Call of Duty for 2014, which hopefully come this Sunday we will know its official name.  Below you can check out the incredibly detailed character model, courtesy of Game Informer.

The world reveal is set to be announced on Sunday May 4th and as soon as that happens, we’ll keep you updated right away.
