Latest Shenmue III screenshots show great improvement

The gameplay trailer for Shenmue III that was showcased at the 2017 Gamescom event was well, a tad less than impressive.  Granted, improvements were made in the developer diary that followed the Gamescom trailer, but fans still had some concerns as to whether this much loved revitalised classic will not only play the part, but look the part too.

However, if the latest batch of screenshots is anything to go by, it looks that developers Ys Net have made some huge improvements to what we had seen last year and speaking from my own perspective, it’s put some of my concerns at ease for sure.

Two of the three screenshots shows-off a village in both a night and day cycle, while the other shows lead protagonist Ryo Hazuki and Shenhua Ling, which arguably details the greatest of improvements made, especially with the facial detail.

Shenmue III is still currently slated for a release later this year for PC and PlayStation 4.
