Here’s a Resident Evil 2 Live Action Inspired by the George A. Romero Original
It’s finally here, the remake that so many of us have been waiting years for, Resident Evil 2. One of the best survival horror games of all-time, re-imagined for a new generation that welcomes newcomers and veterans alike into the horrors of Raccoon City, starring Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
To celebrate, Capcom has released an awesome live-action trailer. The actors playing the roles have quite the similarities to both Leon and Claire, it’s gleefully cheesy and well worth the watch. Those who are maybe too young to remember, back in 1998 for the release of the original RE2, the master of zombie movies, George A. Romero directed a live-action trailer for the PS1 classic and this new live-action trailer is influenced by that very one. I’ll include both the new and old live-action trailers so that you can compare the two below.
And of course with it being the big release day, Capcom has also released the games launch trailer, which can be found below. However, just as a warning for the launch trailer, it shows A LOT of spoilers, so be aware.
Resident Evil 2 releases today for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Be sure to read our review of the bloody brilliant Resident Evil 2 remake here, which we described is as “re-invented for a new generation and is better than ever!”.
