Microsoft has announced that the next multiplayer beta for Halo Wars 2 will arrive next week on Friday January 20th and will end on Monday January 30th.  The latest beta will focus on a new card-based mode called Blitz.  Blitz will fusion together the best of RTS gameplay and combines the focus of deck building and card-based strategy.  It’s certainly an intriguing concept and I look forward to seeing how it all works when the beta starts next week.

To give a glimpse as to what to expect, you can watch the short Blitz multiplayer trailer below.  Just this week, it was announced that there will be a physical release of Halo Wars 2 for PC; you can read more details here.

Halo Wars 2 will release for PC and Xbox One on February 21st for those that purchase the Standard Edition or the 17th for those that pick up the Ultimate Edition.
