Devil May Cry 5 Demo Hits Xbox One, Trailer and New Gameplay Details #TheGameAwards
At The Game Awards last night, it was announced that there is a playable demo for Devil May Cry 5 available to download right now. Unfortunately, this is exclusive to Xbox One, so at the time of writing, the demo isn’t available for other formats.
A new gameplay trailer was also revealed, which gave us a closer look at the third playable character to accompany Dante and Nero. The character simply known as V will be able to summon three different demons to assist him in the battle against the enemy, his abilities include:
- Shadow – a swift, four-legged panther-like creature with savage agility that sees him change his shape into sharp blades and needles for perfectly executed close-range attacks
- Griffon – a bird-like demon possessing aerial combat skills which allows him to carry V across Red Grave City and shoot lightning bolts at enemies from up above
- Nightmare – the most powerful of V’s demons. Nightmare’s gigantic size sees him destroy enemies with just his basic attack, and he can also fire beams of light to destroy any approaching foes.
Capcom also announced that the Bloody Palace Mode will be making its return in Devil May Cry 5, which pits players against an increasing difficulty of demon hordes, as you aim to survive as long as possible to earn the top score. However, that is not all, because, fellow players in the online world will be able to make “cameo” appearances in your game to assist you in the fight and players can even rate your skills! It all sounds quite interesting and I can’t wait to learn more in the near future.
You can check out the new gameplay trailer below, as well as a batch of new screenshots. Devil May Cry 5 will release on March 8th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
