Co-Op zombie shooter World War Z confirmed for PC and Consoles
Indie developer Saber Interactive has announced that they will be bringing us a World War Z co-op zombie shooter, inspired by the Paramount Pictures movie franchise. The game looks very much in the vein of the Left 4 Dead series (where is that announcement for the third game by the way?) as we must work as a team to fight off hordes of the undead in a co-op campaign. The campaign will take us to such locations at New York, Moscow and Jerusalem as we must use all of our wits, contraptions, strategy and survival instincts.
Saber Interactive CEO Matt Karch had this to say on the announcement “World War Z is a name synonymous with heart-pounding fear and action, and we’re excited to finally capture that energy in a fast-paced and gruesome experience crafted specifically for modern consoles and PC,”. Bill Bertini, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Licensing for Paramount Pictures added “Saber has tons of experience working on high-quality games and they’ve done a great job capturing the massive, frantic hordes of ‘zekes’ that sets our franchise apart,”, Bertini finished up by saying that Saber Interactive “have created a fiercely original experience in the rich universe of World War Z that fans are sure to love.”
You can check out the World War Z reveal trailer above, as well as a batch of screenshot images below. World War Z will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We don’t know a release date as of yet, other than the “coming soon” as revealed in the trailer, so expect it to release in 2018.
