Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Post-Launch DLC Detailed, Season Pass includes AC3 Remastered
Ubisoft has detailed the post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and the season pass especially, has some interesting offerings. However, for those that don’t pick up the season pass, there is also plenty of free content on offer too.
The season pass will not only offer two story expansions each with an episodic format, but also Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered with all its DLC, and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation Remastered. Interestingly according to the press release, both remastered games will not only be fully supported on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X with a higher resolution, improved textures and other graphical enhancements, but they will also apparently be on a “new graphics engine”. Whether this is an actual new engine or a tweaked version of the existing engine, remains to be seen. Both games will also be available to purchase standalone.
In addition, the two story expansions will be released in two main parts, Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. In the Legacy of the First Blade, it will see the return of Bayek as we learn more about the original hidden blade and more back-story of the Assassin’s brotherhood. Legacy of the First Blade will release in December with following episodes to release about six weeks apart from each.
The second expansion to release in an episodic format, The Fate of Atlantis will have players visit the legendary city beneath the sea in a unique story adventure that will further explore Greek mythology and the “First Civilization.” Episodes will release from Spring 2019 and will again release about six weeks apart.
In addition with the free content, we will once again get the Discovery Tour, which will allow us explore the ancient Greek world free from conflict as you see the sights and learn more about its rich history with information provided by experts. We’ll also get a flurry of new quests which will feature “familiar faces and new characters from the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.”, as well as “recurring in-game events” aka live-events that will require us to battle against epic bosses for equally epic loot, a New Game Plus and more.
