Halo TV Series Set for 2020 and Will Star Master Chief

The Halo TV series was revealed at E3 2013, however, it all went dark for a number of years, until recently when it was announced that Showtime would be picking up the series, with full production beginning early 2019.  It will also have none other than Steven Spielberg on the team with Kyle Killen as the executive producer, writer and showrunner, and it will be a 10-episode season.

Now Showtime has revealed further details on the Halo TV series, confirming that Master Chief will be the “leading character” and it is expected to air sometime in 2020.  As reported by IGN, to keep the series more diverse in storytelling, there will also be other leading roles, rather then just the Master Chief.

Previous Halo movies, series and animations haven’t been too bad in my humble opinion, so I hope that this new TV series will do the franchise justice.
