According to Buzzfeed, a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic movie is in the works, with the script being written by Laeta Kalogridis, known for her work on brilliant Netflix series Altered Carbon, as well as Alita: Battle Angel and Shutter Island.  The script is reportedly nearly finished and will be the first of a trilogy of KOTOR movies.

In addition, when speaking to MTV News, when asked about a KOTOR movie, LucasFilm President, Kathleen Kennedy said “Yes, we are developing something to look at”.

Personally, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of my all-time favourite games and has an incredibly deep and fascinating Star Wars lore, and if done right, the license could make for an epic Star Wars trilogy.

Are you excited at the prospect of a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic movie and do you still have hopes for a new game in the series?  Let us know across our social media channels.
