If you were here back in April, when the ‘remake’ of XIII was officially announced, you would now expect a hype trailer, preparing you for its November release. However, in a rather strange turn of events – for a remake/remaster at least – you are now being served with an announcement that XIII is being delayed.

The publisher behind the title, Microids, has stated that in order to achieve the right level of polish, XIII’s will have to be moved from late 2019, into 2020. However, at this time, there the publisher has not provided us with a specific date. Meaning that XIII may hit the streets on the first of January, or it may not be out until the 31st of December.

Microids has refused to comment on what particular portion of the title will require ‘further polish’ but it has reaffirmed us that it is thrilled with the developer’s progress, and that PlayMagic will use the additional time to achieve a level of quality, suitable for the title.

XIII is still set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. But as it has been delayed without a specific date in hand, it cannot be pre-ordered by any genuine means. But if you can’t wait to play it, you can always play the original on PC.
