The year was 2004 when we last got a Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines game, which despite its troubled launch, the game most certainly hit cult status in years to follow.  However since then, the vampire bloodline had run dry with fans wondering if we’d ever get a follow-up.

Then almost out of nowhere, Bloodlines gets the long-awaited sequel announced, then for added good measure, an interactive, story driven spin-off was announced with Coteries of New York.  Yet, that wasn’t enough blood-soaked goodness, because over the weekend, we had a third Vampire: The Masquerade game announced!

Firstly with Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, which has just got a set release date.  The gameplay of Coteries of New York, seems to be inspired by the likes of Telltales The Walking Dead series, a narrative, comic book style adventure, where your choices will affect the outcome of your story.

So, when will Coteries of New York release?  Well it has been announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York will release this year for PC (Windows, Mac OS) on December 4th.  The game will also release for the Nintendo Switch, with aims of arriving during Q1 2020.

However, up until now, PC and Nintendo Switch were the only two expected platforms, but it has also been announced that options are currently being explored to bring Coteries of New York to PS4 and Xbox One at some point in the future.

Additionally, at PDXON 2019 in Berlin, Germany last weekend, the developers at Draw Distance were in attendance and some fans got an opportunity to play the Nintendo Switch version of the game, so hopefully this might mean that a proper gameplay trailer might release very soon.  However for now, two new screenshots and a very short gameplay snippet have been released, which shows a dialogue conversation, all of which can be found in this article.

Finally, also at PDXCON 2019,, a new and third Vampire: The Masquerade game was announced with Swansong, which will be heavily inspired by the tabletop RPG game, 5th Edition of Vampire: The Masquerade.  It will be developed by Big Bad Wolf Studio, the team that brought us the narrative RPG, The CouncilVampire: The Masquerade: Swansong is said to feature “solid RPG mechanics that respect the rules of the 5th Edition” and “the universe of The World of Darkness” .

While no platforms were revealed, with this game having a vague release window of 2021, it’s safe to assume that it will be for PC and next-gen consoles.
