AKIBA’S BEAT Comes to Europe This Spring

Akiba’s Trip proved to be an interesting, albeit very odd, game when it came out the other year. Now the series is taking a new direction, with less stripping of vampires and more running around dungeon worlds ala the Persona series. Set in a hyper-stylised recreation of Akihabara, AKIBA’S BEAT plunges players into the heart of the mecca of Otaku culture, although everything is not as it seems.

As dark forces descend on the geek haven it will be up to you and your team to keep them at bay. With a combat system that encourages you to time your attacks to the background music to deal more damaging attacks. If it sounds like something up your street then you’ll be able to pick the game up on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 this Spring, with two different limited editions available from GAME and Rice Digital. You can watch the trailer below.

I like video games. That's why I write about them. I've played them for years and in that time I've found a love for creepy horrors, indie darlings and the oddities that come out of Japan. Although my main purpose on the site is to write up news and reviews I'm also one of the main Let's Play video creators of the team (or, as I call them, Brett's Play videos).
