Shenmue 3 Trial Version to Launch in September on PC

Posted August 13, 2019 by Richard Lee Breslin in Gaming News, PC, PS4

Ys Net has announced that the trial version of Shenmue III for Kickstarter and Slacker Backers will launch during the second-half of this coming September.  Ys Net has stated that the content and features of the trial version are being finalised and once done, we will get an exact launch date for the trial.

As detailed in the crowdfunding campaigns, this trial is only available for PC and will not be coming to PlayStation 4.  However, as detailed long after the crowdfunding campaign, this trial must be played via the Epic Games store and you will need an Epic  Games account to activate it.

We do know that the trial will be about an hour long and it will take place within the first area of the Bailu Village.  There is said to be “lots of activities” to partake in and the demo will be re-playable until the trial expires.  Your save and progress of the trial will not carry over into the main game.

Are you looking forward to playing the trial and are you disappointed that it won’t be making its way to PS4, even though it never originally was?  Let us know across our social media channels.

Shenmue III will release for PC and PlayStation 4 on November 19th.
