Shenmue 3 is Out Today and Here’s a Special Look at Yu Suzuki’s Legacy

To say it’s been a long-time coming is an understatement as Shenmue III is finally released today.  Fans such as me have been waiting 18 years for this release, but the question is, will it live up-to expectations?  Only time will tell, however to celebrate its long awaited launch, Ys Net and Deep Silver have released a special documentary video that celebrates the legacy of legendary developer, Yu Suzuki.

In the video below, we hear how the Shenmue series began life as a Virtua Fighter RPG, right on up to Shenmue III’s launch.  If you’re a fan of Shenmue and Yu Suzuki, the video is a fantastic watch.  Also over the weekend, Yu Suzuki received a well-earned life time achievement award at the Golden Joysticks.  Shenmue III is available now for PC and PlayStation 4.
