Back in June, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced “One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows” – a 3vs3 fighting game from their long time partners, Spike Chunsoft. The famed studio, developers of many Dragon Ball Z titles, and more recently, Jump Force and One Piece Burning Blood, will be tasked with bringing the “hero for fun” Saitama to home consoles in 2020. In this announcement trailer below, we see our Heroes Saitama, Genos & Mumen Rider face off against villains such as Blizzard from Hell & Speed-o’-Sound Sonic.

We were then treated to our first full gameplay trailers, the first showing off more new playable characters such as Vaccine Man, Mosquito Girl, Deep Sea King and Carnage Kabuto.

In addition to announcing more new playable characters (all S-Class ranked), the second trailer focused on “Free Battle Mode” in which the player has to defeat each opponent using the right character, at the right time. In order to address Saitama’s immense strength, the trailer also showcases the “Hero Arrival System“. In order to play as Saitama, players will need to meet certain criteria throughout the battle.

Start by choosing 2 fighters, then Saitama’s team will have to survive with the numerical disadvantage, until he arrives – combos or even perfect guards will remove crucial seconds from the timer, then, when our hero arrives, one punch should be enough to save the situation!

  • Terrible Tornado (ranked 2nd)
  • Silverfang (ranked 3rd)
  • Atomic Samurai (ranked 4th)
