It was a packed event for Bandai Namco at this year’s Evo, not only for their plethora of fighting games on show with the professional tournaments, but we also got plenty of new DLC details for a number of their titles, namely SoulCalibur VI, Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Beginning with Tekken 7, it was revealed that the game with have a third season of content, which will bring four new characters, new stages and new gameplay features.  It was also announced that courtesy of an incoming free update, new moves will be added to the already existing playable fighters.

At Evo we learned of two of the four characters to be included in the Season Pass 3 with Zafina, a character who was last seen in Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, a Nintendo 3DS title from 2012.  The second fighter revealed is Leroy Smith, a brand new character to the series.  Zafina will be available in September, while Leroy Smith will be available during the winter.

Next up we have SoulCalibur VI, which will have a Season Pass 2.  Firstly, series veteran Cassandra, who made her debut in the second game in the series, will be the final character included in the first season pass and is available to download right now.

Season Pass 2 for SoulCalibur VI will include four new playable characters, which includes Haohmaru, an iconic character from SNK’s Samurai Shodown series, Season Pass 2 also includes four Creation Sets, so that you can customise your favourite characters even further.

Finally, Janemba will be a new playable character from August 8th for Dragon Ball FighterZ, who made his first appearance in the Dragon Ball movie, Fusion Reborn.  Janemba will also come with five alternative costume colours, as well as a Lobby Avatar and Z Stamp.

Well that concludes all the Bandai Namco fighter related goodness from this year’s Evo.  Are you excited by any of this news or are you just annoyed that Bandai teased Solid Snake in Tekken 7, which ended up being a prank?  Let us know across our social media channels.
