A new trailer for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was showcased at the Nintendo Direct event last night and in it we saw some of the retro inspired mini-games that will feature in the game.  In total there will be 10 retro-style events, to go alongside more modern mini-games.  We also learned that this year’s Mario and Sonic will included a singleplayer campaign, where our hero’s (and villains) are pulled into a game based upon the Tokyo Olympic games in 1964, and they must do all they can to escape and save the day.

You can watch the new gameplay trailer below.  Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will release for the Nintendo Switch from November 5th.
