If you’ve been playing Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, you may or may not have noticed a certain tease that might just indicate that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be set within the Viking world.  Posters within the Washington DC setting can be found which features a Viking with the heading of Valhalla (a place in Asgard where Norse warriors go to after death), holding what looks to be the Apple of Eden, the centre piece of power that is integral to the Assassin’s Creed universe.

This news was first shared by YouTuber JorRaptor , before being picked up by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, who confirmed that two of his independent sources verified this news stating that 2020’s Assassin’s Creed game, which has a code-name of Kingdom and indeed will star Vikings.

What do you make of these rumours, are you excited by them?  Personally, I’m still waiting for my ancient Japanese Assassin’s Creed entry.  Let us know your thoughts across our social media channels.
