Here’s Some New Gameplay for Shenmue 3 Showing Some Combat!

Last month, a new screenshot of Shenmue antagonist, Lan Di was shown off.  However, more was promised at this month’s anime Magic Conference in Monaco, France.  Well now that time has arrived and we got some more of that Shenmue 3 goodness with a two-and-a-half minute gameplay trailer, showing off some combat.

The trailer below begins with our protagonist Ryo getting downed by the mysterious lady that we met during the conclusion of Shenmue III, Ling Shenhua.  The trailer then proceeds to show us that Ryo is still in pursuit of the Dragon Mirror and Lan Di, the man that killed his father.  We also get to see some quirky and odd looking faces, but that’s nothing new in the world of Shenmue.

Shenmue III will release for PlayStation 4 and PC on August 27th this year, as long as we don’t get any further delays.

Whether you played the originals or not, it’s well worth checking out classics Shenmue and Shenmue II, you can read our review here.  Finally, you can enjoy the new gameplay trailer below.
