Final Fantasy VII Remake Still Exists and Here’s Proof with a New Trailer #StateOfPlay

It’s been a long wait since Final Fantasy VII Remake was revealed at E3 2015.  In fact, it’s been that long and we’ve heard many stories of the game restarting development, many had worried that this remake might not ever see the light of day with fears of it being cancelled.

However, last night at PlayStation’s State of Play, proof of its existence was showcased with a brand new trailer.  In the trailer found below (as well as some new screenshots), we get a mixture of CGI and gameplay action featuring our heroes Cloud and Aerith.

While no release date was given, we were promised further updates in the near future, likely at E3 next month.  The Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for PlayStation 4, hopefully this year with a bit of luck.
