Fatal Frame Producer Wants to Bring Series to the Nintendo Switch
The last time that we saw an entry from the Project Zero series (or Fatal Frame depending on your region), was with Maiden of the Black Water for the ill-fated Nintendo Wii U, which was quite the flop in terms of console sales, so it’s fair to say that the game didn’t get the reach that it perhaps should have. It also didn’t help that Maiden of the Black Water wasn’t a particularly great game either and the weakest entry in the series too, in my opinion.
However, when speaking to Nintendo Everything, producer of the Fatal Frame series Keisuke Kikuchi revealed his desire to bring a new game in the series to the Nintendo Switch and considering that the Switch is awesome, and has been smashing console sales, it sounds like a great idea me. Kikuchi said during an interview “it’d be a ton of fun to play with the console in handheld mode and moving all around”.
Whether this idea will ever see the light of day, remains to be seen, but it’s something that I would love to see happen and I know I’m not alone in that sentiment either. It would also be great to see the first three games get remastered on all platforms.
