Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gameplay Launch and Spec Ops Trailers Released
Activision and Infinity Ward has released two new gameplay trailers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, one that focuses on the gameplay from the singleplayer campaign and the other relates to the controversial Spec-Ops mode.
Special-Ops in Modern Warfare will have more than one mode, one of which was the controversial “Survival” mode portion of the game, which will be exclusive to PS4 until October 1st, 2020, by which time a new Call of Duty will be just about out anyway. This Survival mode is a very traditional horde mode that pits a team of up-to four players against increasingly difficult enemies the longer the players survive.
However, Spec-Ops will also feature mode called Operations, where a team of players must work together to complete set mission objectives as well as surviving an enemy onslaught. Players can either take a more stealthy approach or go all-guns-blazing. In total there will be four multi-stage missions available in Operations, with further content to arrive post-launch for all platforms simultaneously.
The other mode included in Spec-Ops is “Missions” which is said to be a “curated experience where your proficiency with specific weapons, Killstreaks, and other tools will be tested,”. Missions are also said to be “extremely re-playable” either solo or with up-to four players and at the end of each missions, you’ll will be graded a 1, 2 or 3-star ranking. As with Operations, post-launch content for Missions will arrive on all platforms simultaneously.
You can watch the Special-Ops trailer below, as well the gameplay launch trailer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release this month on October 25th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
