ARCADE_1458568052 The Yakuza franchise just never seems to be able to break the West properly. With Yakuza 5 appearing on PlayStation Plus throughout August though it will help bring the game to more people than it has done before. This seems to be a smart move as the release date for the first Western released Yakuza game to appear on PlayStation 4 has been announced.

Due out on January 24th in Europe and America, Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the first game. Hardly the most shocking news seeing as it’s called Yakuza 0. It will provide a look at returning characters in their earlier years such as Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, with Goro being playable for the first time in a core entry in the series. Now we just need to hope that Sega are nice enough to re-release the older games on PlayStation 4.

I like video games. That's why I write about them. I've played them for years and in that time I've found a love for creepy horrors, indie darlings and the oddities that come out of Japan. Although my main purpose on the site is to write up news and reviews I'm also one of the main Let's Play video creators of the team (or, as I call them, Brett's Play videos).
