Play FIFA 12, Madden NFL 12 Early With EA Sports Season Ticket
FIFA 12, Madden NFL 12, NHL and Tiger Woods PGA Tour games will be made available to consumers three days early via the new digital program, EA Sports Sason Ticket.
Xbox 360 users will first be able to experience this new feature, gamers will pay an annual fee of 2,000 Microsoft points (around £20) for the right to download and play the full version of upcoming Madden, FIFA, NHL and Tiger Woods titles, though after the trial period, the game will time out and point gamers towards buying a retail disc. Don’t worry though as you’ll be able to transfer any progress made during the trial period.
American PS3 users will also be able to take advatage of this deal but for Europe EA have yet to still confirm.
The programme will also give players 20 per cent off of EA Sports DLC, free premium content and a membership badge displayed on profiles and in-game.
“EA Sports Season Ticket is an important step in our vision for transforming how deeply fans connect with the sports games they love through digital products and services,” said EA Sports boss Peter Moore.
“We’re excited to continue evolving EA Sports Season Ticket as we listen to what consumers want most in their gaming experiences.”

FIFA 12 3DS not to feature Wi-Fi play?
Despite reports last week of FIFA 12 on the 3DS featuring Wi-Fi play, producer Matt Prior has told Nintendo World Report that the game will only feature local multiplayer.
“Currently, we only have local head-to-head play, but server-based online is certainly something we would be looking at in the future.”
It has also been confirmed that the game won’t use StreetPass, SpotPass, or the majority of 3DS-exclusive features (this game will be in 3D, right EA?)
This will be quite a blow to those who were looking forward to this game and if PES 2012 3D comes with Wi-Fi play, EA will have a lot to answer for.
Touch Screen Controls unveiled for FIFA 12 on 3DS
EA Sports has today announced FIFA 12 for the Nintendo 3DS console and has also unveiled brand new touch screen controls for the title.
Take to the pitch with superstars like Real Madrid’s Kaká and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, and become a true marksman using all-new optional touch screen controls.
Enjoy precision shooting by picking a spot precisely from the player’s viewpoint using the lower touch screen and then finessing a shot with pinpoint accuracy. Utilize touch screen controls on set pieces to draw a shot that curves the ball around, or even power it over the wall for the match-winning goal that lifts your club to victory.

FIFA 11’s Ultimate Team Dated
EA Sports today announced that the upcoming free Ultimate Team DLC for FIFA 11 will be accessible for download from the date of November 3rd.
Previous FIFA players who played past iterations of Ultimate Team from both FIFA 09 and FIFA 10 can gain a head start by visiting this website: http://www.ea.com/uk/football/fifa-ultimate-team and proceeding to use the FIFA 11 Ultimate Team web tool, which now has full team functionality – including the use of bidding, selling and the ability to post trades between players.
The good fortune continues for returning players as they will also be rewarded with two gold packs totally free ahead of the forthcoming launch. As an added bonus, from every day they log in from now until the date of November 3rd, they’ll also be granted a free gift. Not too shabby.
New introductions to this year’s FIFA Ultimate Team DLC include the Major League Soccer league and the Russia Premier League along with all their superstars. Not only that but based on recent fan feedback, it’ll also include the feature to ‘Play A Friend’ in online matches and on top of that, the FIFA Ultimate Team Generations with the use of the web tool, which enables players to show off their Ultimate Team heritage to the global FIFA community.
Ultimate Team DLC will be released for free for FIFA 11 on November 3rd, as a treat from EA Sports to it’s fans due to record sales figures on this year’s Football installment.
Until that date, keep your anticipation levels at bay with the following launch trailer.
FIFA 11 smashes the charts to take the lead
Seriously, can any game stay in the number one spot for more than one week? First Halo: Reach and now F1 2010 only manage to put up a one week stay before losing the top spot before they get time to be comfy. To be fair though, with FIFA 11 getting huge amounts of praise and the huge fanbase it has, it was expected for it to become number one. Another piece of news that EA will be happy with is that from September 28th to October 2nd, EA announced that the FIFA 11 was sold in 2.6 million copies and made over $150 million in Europe and North America and that it’s sold 30 per cent more than FIFA 2010 did.
Compared to the previous weeks, it’s been a bit boring in the charts, with every game last week remaining in the charts with one exception. That exception is Take 2 and 2K Czech’s Mafia II (that’s a lot of two’s), which went from 8th position to 11th. It would have stayed in had it not been for one sneaky Tiger. That’s right, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 has for the second time, re-entered the charts. What is with your love/hate relationship with the Tiger golf gaming fans?
Apart from that, the best climber has been Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, which Activision will be happy has climbed into the top five, though as said last week, it would have probably hoped higher. Oh well, that’s them breaks. The worst drop happened to Civilization V, which went from 4th spot down to number 10. It’s likely that it will exit the charts next week. Or it could do a Prince of Persia and cling on for dear life. Yes Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands may be slipping but it’s still in there.
So chart predictions for next week anyone?

FIFA 11 Wii reveals Street Football mode
FIFA 11 is already starting to look fantastic, with the Personality+ and the whole new career mode shaping it up to
become one of the best FIFA yet and also making it clear that EA are stepping up their game. Now Nintendo Wii owners will be able to enjoy another additional mode called ‘Street Football’.
Here’s what the press release has to say about the Wii-exclusive mode:
EA SPORTS announced today that there are now two ways to play FIFA 11 Wii—traditional 11 versus 11 football matches plus a new street football mode. Hit the pitch for a Wii-specific take on customary 11 versus 11 football matches with over 30 officially licensed leagues, 500 teams, more than 15,000 players to choose from. Or, hit the streets to compete in 5 versus 5 street matches with the world’s elite players.
FIFA 11 Wii features numerous gameplay enhancements that bring the beautiful game to life on the Wii console. An all-new attacker vs. defender trick system creates head-to-head battles as you move up the pitch, performing dozens of elaborate new tricks to throw the defender off-balance. The new button-based shooting mechanic puts control back in the users’ hands – and with new shot types and animations you’ll find all-new ways to score each game. Blast, finesse, chip or tap it by the
keeper for the goal that lifts your team to glory!…
