Gran Turismo 5 Collector's and Signature Edition details

With Gran Turismo 5 finally around the corner many of us would just be happy to buy the game and be done with it. But there are those who love limited/collectors edition of games, and Sony have seen fit to announce not one but two types of the Collector’s Edition.

First for those with just a bit more cash than usual comes the standard version, which retails at €79.99 (around £66), gives you a slip case, five in-game ChromeLine vehicles, the Apex driver’s magazine (which contains hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and other details to satisfy a car nut/boy racers), dynamic PS3 theme and five collectible artcards.

That may be enough for some fans in terms of bonus content. But for the ultimate Gran Turismo 5 experience, you’re going to want to put down some serious heavy cash for the impressive sounding Signature Edition.

Coming in at a hefty €179.99 (around £149), this dosen’t just include what you get with the standard version but also comes with a, metal sculpted box finished in SLS AMG Obsidian Black, exclusive GT branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car, a GT leather wallet containing Signature Edition competition entry card, branded USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer, GT branded metal key fob and Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo.

If you’re lucky enough to get the Signature Edition, than you’ll be able to enter a competition, thatis combosed of in-game and real life driving challenges, with the prize being a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar. Win that and you could sell it, gaining back the money you spent on the Signature Edition and a whole lot more.

If you’ve got the cash to flash, than the Signature Edition will be the one for you. Those with a lttile bit more money to burn will go for the standard edition. While the rest of us will just be glad when Gran Turismo 5 is finally released and not delayed for technological reasons.
