Games Editor
Position Overview
Push-Start has been online for over a year, creating unique content for Gamers. We are the independent voice and have an extreme passion for all things gaming.
The Games Editor will be a member of Push-Start’s editorial team, and will be responsible for working with the rest of Push-Start’s staff, creating new exciting stories, content and other articles relating the the video game industry, ideally with a focus on a particular platform, though this is of course negotiable.
Requirements
- Writing creative, well researched, and newsworthy previews, reviews, news stories, blog posts, and features
- Working well as a team and post content on a daily basis
- Editing content on a daily basis
- Arranging coverage with game PR/developers
- Willing to appear on the Push-Start podcast
Key Skills
- Have a huge passion for games
- Deep knowledge of games and the gaming industry– being in the know about the companies who are creating the titles/content and where they are coming from
- Grammar and strong use of the English language is key
- Solid organisation and communication skills
- Willing to travel to cover events

Video Production
Position Overview
Push-Start has been online for over a year, creating unique content for Gamers. We are the independent voice and have an extreme passion for all things gaming.
We are currently looking for a a member who can produce original content for the Push-Start YouTube channel. The position will be a great opportunity for those who are interested in editing and production.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Create interesting review intros
- Create exclusive video content
- Publish trailers and gameplay videos to YouTube.com/PushStartVideos
- Assist other staff members with video content
- Familiarity with professional video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Sony Vegas
- Experience with camera work
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or other animation packages is encouraged
Other Ways to Get Your Foot in the Door:
- A strong passion for gaming
- Have a keen eye for viral videos
- Enjoy watching gaming related videos
- Have knowledge of HTML, Flash and Video streaming systems
