Games Editor

Position Overview

Push-Start, has been online for more than a year, creating unique content for Gamers. We are the independent voice and have an extreme passion for all things gaming.

The Games Editor will be a member of Push-Start’s editorial team, and will be responsible for working with the rest of Push-Start’s staff, creating new exciting story’s, content and other articles relating the the video game industry.

Requirements

• Writing creative, well researched, and newsworthy previews, reviews, news stories, blog posts, and features
• Working well as a team and post content on a daily basis
• Editing content on a daily basis
• Arranging coverage with game PR/developers

Key Skills

• Have a huge passions for games
• Deep knowledge of games and the gaming industry– being in the know about the companies who are creating the titles/content and where they are coming from.
• Grammar and strong use of the English language is key.
• Solid organization and communication skills
• Willing to travel to cover events

Video Production

Position Overview

Push-Start, has been online for more than a year, creating unique content for Gamers. We are the independent voice and have an extreme passion for all things gaming.

We are currently looking for a a member who can produce content for PushStartVideos team.  The position will be a great opportunity for those who are interested in editing and production.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Create interesting review intros
• Create exclusive video content
• Publish trailers and gameplay videos to Youtube.com/PushStartVideos
• Assist other staff members with video content
• Familiarity with Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas and other video editing software
• Experience with camera work
• Experience with Adobe After Effects a plus

• Have a keen eye for viral videos
• Enjoy watching gaming related videos
• Have knowledge of HTML, Flash and Video streaming systems

Podcast Member/ Manager

We are currently seeking a Podcast member/manager who has a huge knowledge about Podcast and the software available.   This is a great opportunity for anyone who likes to get there gaming voice heard.

Job Responsibilities Include (Manager)

• Huge knowledge of the software available
• Has had previous experience with podcasting
• Is available to edit and upload the podcast to iTunes, Zune etc
• Can meet a schedule based show.

• Is available to speak clearly with a microphone
• Has a huge knowledge about topics related to gaming
• Can meet a schedule based show.

Skills

• Proficiency with Podcasting software
• Familiarity with the Internet at large

• A strong passion for gaming
• Have some knowledge of HTML and Web production
• Have the correct equipment (Mic, PC/Laptop)
• Familiarity with blogging platforms or experience with web publishing systems
