New Max Payne 3 Screenshots
Just when you thought our favourite ragged ex-detective couldn’t look any more badass, yesterday Rockstar Games released some new screenshots for Max Payne 3.
From the above and below screens you can gather a rough idea of how action packed the third instalment of the Max Payne series is going to be. It’s Max at his baldest, with explosions in the background and beard in tow.
The last two screens are different from the first two as they show a younger Max and highlights some slight Noire aspects of Max Payne 3.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Multiplayer Modes Announced
Capcom announced yesterday the first Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Multiplayer details. Players will be able to experience online 4 vs. 4 team battles playing as either a member of the Umbrella Security Service (USS) or US Spec Ops. Check out all the details on the modes below and watch the brand new gameplay trailer.
Take on the role of the bad guys with USS members Vector, Beltway, Lupo, Four-Eyes, Spectre or Bertha. Alternatively play as the good guys and experience the horrors of Raccoon City as Tweed, Dee-

ay, Harley, Willow, Shona or Party Girl, members of the US Spec Ops that were revealed earlier this week in the Triple Impact trailer – Meet them in person by downloading their new character art on the press site. Breaking the conventions of traditional third person shooters, players will not only have to compete against the opposing squad but tackle a third unpredictable force as zombies and B.O.W.s add to the mix.
In Team Deathmatch, battle for the most kills in brutal triple threat chaos that leaves players never knowing what’s behind them, an element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe. Ensure that samples of the G-virus are returned safely to their base in Biohazard mode while fighting off all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City. Try to survive the horror just a little bit longer while waiting for rescue in Survivors mode – there’s limited space on board a helicopter so fight off the opposition and survive the hordes of hungry zombies, risking infection if they get too close. Will you make it out of Raccoon City alive!
Of course there’s also the previously announced Heroes Mode which allows fans to play as one of their favorite Resident Evil characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Hunk or Jill Valentine.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 23rd across Europe.
Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms Of Amalur Demos Come With Exclusive DLC
Much like last year’s Dead Space armour finding its way onto Dragon Age II, it’s more than obvious that EA likes to indulge itself in the various collaborations of its popular franchises. And so in this new year, the tradition continues as Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning both look to make some serious noise in the coming months, and what better to do while waiting in anticipation than checking out each of their demos and grabbing yourself some epic downloadable content completely free!
Just as the image shows us, both games will feature exclusive in-game items inspired purely by eachother with Mass Effect 3 weapons/armour in Kingdoms Of Amalur and Amalur weapons/armour in Mass Effect 3. Both demos will be available to download on Xbox LIVE and PSN with Amalur coming Jan 17th and ME3 following soon after. By simply completing each demo, you’ll be rewarded with the items specified below.
Playing through the Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning demo will land you these two items for use in ME3:
Reckoner Knight Armor: This armor will maximize damage done in close-quarters combat while a beefed–up power cell feeds energy into weapon systems to increase projectile velocity.
The Chakram Launcher: This weapon uses a fabricator to manufacture lightweight, explosive ammunition discs. This weapon is earned after completing the Reckoning demo and watching the trailer at the end.
And playing through the Mass Effect 3 demo will get you these items for use in Amalur:
N7 Armor: Players can unlock special armor inspired by Commander Shepard’s iconic N7 battle armor including Helm, Cuirass, Gauntlets, Chausses and Greaves.
Onmiblade Daggers: A holographic blade stemming from Commander Shepard’s Omni-Tool, the Omni-blade allows players to stab enemies in close combat. Once players install and play the Mass Effect 3 demo, they will unlock the daggers.
Kingdoms Of Amalur Demo Coming To Xbox LIVE
If you’re not already frothing at the moth at the possibility of a Skyrim/Fable hybrid and need some further convincing, on January 17th, Xbox Live users will be able to download a demo for EA’s upcoming RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. This joyous news comes from a post spotted on Major Nelson’s blog along with a few other interesting tid bits of information. Unfortunately, no details on the contents of the demo have been revealed and a PlayStation 3 and PC demo are still to be confirmed.
The talent working on the game includes Oblivion lead designer Ken Rowlston and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. The story has been written by famous fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, quite the combination yes? Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is due for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 10th so get excited!

Today, Ubisoft announced that the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be available in the UK May 25th, 2012. I was fortunate enough to play Future Soldier at Eurogamer last year and I can safely say that it looked very promising. The game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. What’s that? You can’t wait that long? Well fear not as a multiplayer beta will be available sometime in April for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
“Ubisoft prides itself on creating some of the most compelling and innovative experiences in digital entertainment,” said Adrian Lacey, IP development director at Ubisoft Studios – France. “Today we are feature complete in our MP, Single player and 4 player coop campaign modes. We have taken the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience. The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal. We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks.”
