GamesCom Ubisoft Trailers – Tin Tin, Rabbids and Rayman

This year at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne, Ubisoft seems to be on a family friendly escapade! This morning, Ubisoft released three new trailers showcasing their titles for the end of this year!

GamesCom 2011: Tin Tin Trailer
This title features a lot of varied gameplay, from side scrolling platforming to car chases and even aerial combat. Available October 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo 3DS.

GamesCom 2011: Rayman Origins -
This new entry in the Rayman series takes the gameplay back to its roots, featuring highly colourful 2D side scrolling action, this time focused on Co-Op Play. This title will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii in November 2011

GamesCom 2011: Rabbids Alive & Kicking -
This Xbox 360 exclusive Kinect title features many mini-games featuring use of augmented reality and full body motion control to further enhance the madness of the Raving Rabbids! Available November 4th 2011

Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 Features and Gameplay Trailer

The Lego franchise has made a pretty good selection of Lego Games. From Star Wars to Batman and then Pirates of the Caribbean to Indiana Jones, it would make you wonder in which direction they would head into next.

Well next on the agenda is Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, which comes just after the release of the final film. This will carry on from Years 1-4, which means the game starts at Order of the Phoenix.

Players will resume the roles of Harry, Ron, Hermione and friends as they battle against Voldemort and his band of Death Eaters. Of course once finished you will be able to play as Voldemort and fulfil his dream of killing Mr. Potter off once and for all…until he re-spawns.

Gamescom – Brand-New Dishonored Screenshots

New screenshots has been revealed of the upcoming stealthy first-person-shooter, developed by Arkane Studios and Published by Bethesda Softworks.

Dishonored is set in the fictional steam-punk city of Dunwall, where players will take on the role of Corvo, once a bodyguard for the Empress, who seeks vengeance against Lord Regent who framed Corvo for the assassination of the Empress. The game is presented in open world format as the player can roam The Isles as well as the distant Pandyssian Continent.

Harvey Smith, known for the Deus Ex franchise, will be a Lead Designer for Dishonored, alongside Raf Colantonio.

Dishonored is set for a release in the second-quarter of 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Gamescom – Aliens: Colonial Marines Screenshots

Here are some brand new screenshots of the upcoming squad-based FPS by Gearbox Software, unleashed at this years Gamescom.

Evidently by the brand-new images, this has every potential of being a title that overwhelmingly compensates for the tragedy that was Duke Nukem Forever.

Silent Hill HD Remakes Come To Xbox

Originally intended to be a PS3 exclusive the ‘Silent Hill HD Collection’ will now also be coming to the Xbox 360. The change to make it multi-format comes from fan pressure put on the publishers, Konami. The HD Collection contains both ‘Silent Hill 2′ and ‘Silent Hill 3′. If you, like me are a Silent Hill fan with an Xbox 360 then this comes as some good news.

Shiny new Battlefield 3 multiplayer screens

The kind and generous people at DICE have blessed us all with a few beautiful screenshots of the Battlefield 3 multiplayer. As you feast your eyes take into consideration that most or even all of these screens are PC quality and have likely been buffed up to give that extra enchanting effect to all who gaze upon them. But however doctored or beautified, these screens should hopefully hold you over until the day of reckoning.

DMC sees Dante in his early years learning the ropes while having to fight off monstrous creatures from the darkest corners of hell while keeping the seamless combat, stylish animation and vibrant backdrops that has propelled the Devil May Cry franchise to the highest peaks of gaming. The young Dante of DMC takes us though a deep story expanding on Dante’s own emotions and feelings of coming to terms with being the son of a powerful demon and angel.

With Capcom acting as the veterans of combat focused games and Ninja Theory sitting beside them offering an array of ingenuity to provide a compelling narrative and deep characters, DMC is bound to give us one of the best Devil May Cry experiences yet.

Go Ballistic for Bodycount Demo, Available Now!

Since 12pm today Codemasters have invited gamers to go ballistic by downloading their demo of ‘Bodycount’ from the Xbox LIVE marketplace today. Players get to sample an outrageous and over-the-top arcade gunplay that takes centre stage in the shooter and this also should make you fall in love with firepower. 19 Epic new screens from Gears of war 3

In less than a month the hugely anticipated Gears of War 3 will emerge from the depths and into our hands. But for most people a few weeks is just too far off and so Epic have given us a little surprise in releasing a bunch of in-game screens of both the campaign and horde mode. These highly detailed images should give us a bigger picture of the meat-shredding gut-wrenching bloodbath that is Gears of War 3!
