Fans of England’s favourite super spy rejoice! Not only has the trailer for James Bond’s latest adventure – Skyfall – been released (and which is looking to be a fantastic film) but a trailer for 007 Legends was also included.

007 Legends is the latest game from Eurocom, who were previously behind the Goldeneye remake and its HD upgrade, and follows Daniel Craig’s Bond through 6 missions. One of these missions was originally reported to be Skyfall itself, with the other 5 being classic Bond films given a modern day update. Speculation was running wild with what could be included and how they would be modernised, but with the release of the trailer we can now confirm one of the classic films to be Roger Moore’s 1979 entry: Moonraker.

Yes, the film with the hover-gondola, outer space shoot outs and lasers is being remade as a mission for the more down to Earth and realistic direction of the latest films. As the trailer shows the lasers and secret space stations still feature in the, which are in my opinion a little outside of the realm of the Craig era. After thoroughly enjoying Goldeneye I expect this game will also be a great title, but story wise I’m a little worried how this over the top entry is going to gel.

Now just to wait for the reveal of the remaining missions. Are there any in particular you’ve got your sights set on or indeed any you hope they avoid? Would you even like to see a previous mission from a game return in the new style (It may be the closest I can hope to get to a HD re-release of Everything or Nothing, and a HD Willem Dafoe)? 007 Legends will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC 16th October 2012

The promise of an “exclusive Konami Pre-E3 Show,” Konami posted the last of the “encrypted” Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance teaser videos. Primarily, a lot of bad business leads up to the introduction of the High Frequency Blade, and for a video game promo, this goes curiously out of its way to be crucial to watch. You’d be forgiven for having given up on video game Spidey a long time ago. He hasn’t been on top interactive form since Spiderman 2, and in the light of Rocksteady’s excellent treatment of Batman, Beenox’s latest efforts with the webslinger seem especially lacklustre. The developer claims to be turning things around with this newest title – and yes, this is the one tied directly to the new film’s release schedule (which is usually a good sign. Right!?)

Despite the need for quite a lot of preconception repression, Activision’s latest trailer highlights one of the more exciting mechanics of the game. ‘Web-Rush’ allows Spiderman to slow down time in a variety of contexts and undertake automatic traversal and combat-based interactions. It looks to add a lot more fluidity and depth to all elements of the game, allowing film-esque stunts to be executed with ease.

Whilst a single addition to the franchise is far from wiping Beenox’s slate completely clean, let’s hope this mechanic ushers in new heights for video game Spidey to swing around in.

The brainchild of Sony Santa Monica, Sorcery has been promised to show gamers why Sony’s PS Move is better then the Kinect and Wii.

It’s a boost that the PS Move sorely needs to stop being overlooked by the Nintendo Wii (and perhaps soon the Wii U) and the Kinect, which the latter may have not appealed to hardcore gamers but has had some success with casual gamers and those who see the creative side in what the Kinect offers.

UK PS3 owners can find out if Sorcery is the PS Move’s killer app on May 25, three days after North America gets it.

Zombie games, no matter what kind of excuse or creature they use, are by this point overplayed and I for one am burned out with them; though by ‘them’ I of course mean every game that isn’t Naughty Dog’s upcoming The Last of Us.

It’s no secret I’m in love with Naughty Dog and all of their technical offspring, but with good reason. So far I have yet to see a company consistently produce such technically incredible, mind blowingly cinematic and downright fun to play titles. Crash Bandicoot was one of the greatest 3D platformers to grace the 5th generation, followed by Jak and Daxter in the 6th, and most recently the superb Uncharted trilogy in the 7th. They are now looking to expand this success with an entry to the post-apocalyptic zombie scene with The Last of Us, which features a parasitic fungus and more green than most end of the world games have ever even imagined (outside of Enslaved). The latest trailer for The Last of Us shows the two main characters – Ellie and Joel – in a more human orientated scenario:

As the trailer shows (set to the all too appropriate lyrics of Hank Williams’ Alone and Forsaken) it’s more than just the parasitic fungi that need to be watched for, other survivors are looking out for themselves and as such can, and will, provide an obstacle to the continuing survival of Ellie and Joel. Colour me excited, and just hope that when some gameplay is shown I don’t actually explode…

The Last Of Us is being released exclusively for the PS3, though does not have a release date at this time. Expect to see more at E3 2012 in the first week of June.

Set for release next month, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is heading to both the Xbox 360 and PS3 via their download platforms, and today you can check out three minutes of in-game footage from the title.

Looking to be a very faithful update to the original, the HD remake combines gameplay elements and environments from both the first and second title’s in the popular skating series. Hopefully you paid attention in your language classes in school, as the video comes to us courtesy of a German Playstation Magazine Play3, meaning that the commentary is completely in the aforementioned language.

Still, there’s a lot to see for fans of the series, as a number of levels are showcased including the famous Warehouse and School levels. Check out the video below, and get ready to hit the streets next month. The gameplay footage starts from 00:20.

The trailer for new Will Ferrell comedy The Campaign (known previously as Dog Fight and Rivals) has arrived, and it looks hilarious. Ferrell portrays Cam Brady (playing the familiar role of an egotistical public face challenged with a rival, a la Anchorman and Talladega Nights), an un-rivalled politician from North Carolina – only un-rivalled, however, because there have been no other contenders. One day, Marty Huggins (The Hangover’s Zach Galifianakis) comes onto the scene to represent the small community’s congressional district at the United States House of Representatives, and the two find themselves caught in a bitter race for power in anticipation of an upcoming election. The project is directed by Jay Roach (director of the Austin Powers trilogy and Meet the Parents), and so combined with this winning cast will guarantee hilarity.

The Campaign will be released on 28th September 2012 in the UK.

The official launch trailer for Max Payne 3 has arrived, preparing you for the game’s release in a week’s time. Set against the classic musical themes from the previous titles, witness Max’s descent into the seedy underbelly of São Paulo, a far cry from the sky scrapers and snow of New York.

For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out – Amazon

Rockstar have also revealed a number of extra game modes that are available to play in the single player mode, Score Attack and New York Minute. Both of these modes tie into the new Clubs feature of Rockstar’s Social club, rewarding players with XP and exclusive multiplayer avatars.

Score Attack offers up a fast and frantic experience which rewards players for accurate shooting and quick movement, a mode which will be familiar to fans of The Club (Bizarre Creations, 2008), where as the New York Minute mode (returning from the previous titles) puts Max against the clock as you gain additional time for each enemy that you kill. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how Rockstar have taken up the reigns of the series from Remedy, though all signs are pointing towards this latest title being a worthy sequel, expect our review at the release of the title.

Max Payne 3 arrives May 15th in North America, May 18th in Europe for the Xbox 360 and PS3, with a PC release following on May 29th in North America and June 1st in Europe.

Square Enix have just revealed a new trailer for Sleeping Dogs. The video provides a look into the martial arts combat and how it creates seamless visceral gameplay. Sleeping Dogs mixes up some of gaming’s greatest takedowns in a world worthy of Hong Kong cinema.

The Sun On Yee respect tradition; honour and discretion are the watchwords, brutal combat the tool of the trade. As players take-on those who would wage war amongst the Triad, an incredible array of combat moves and upgrades awaits. New bone-crunching kicks and devastating combos unlock as players earn face amongst their peers and respect from those who would challenge them. In Sleeping Dogs, the city itself doubles as an arsenal of deadly weaponry as real-world items from phone booths to TV sets, engine blocks to combat fish deliver a vicious and violent end to all who stand in your way.

It’s certainly a sight to behold, and features over two minutes of stabby goodness from a pre-Alpha build. Running on the next version of the Anvil engine, check out the open landscapes and much larger sense of scale that this title is set to offer. Displaying hundreds of enemies on the screen at one time, the trailer showcases new gameplay mechanics including hunting and more natural movement through forest environments. A wide variety of gameplay scenarios and locations are also shown, including some spectacular urban environments where Connor is seen running through buildings to escape. A number of special assassination animations are also a sight to behold, so check it out in preparation for the game’s release this October.

The newest trailer for Assassin’s Creed III gives a deeper look at the franchise’s new hero. Trapped between two worlds, Connor dons the mantle of the Assassin in the fight for justice against the Templars. Sentinel, outsider, and champion, Connor defends the land against those who would infringe upon freedom and liberty.

Assassin’s Creed III is the opening chapter of two new stories: one of Connor, the newest Assassin, and one of a new nation, both in an epic fight for land and freedom. In this gameplay world premiere, travel through the early American city of Boston, battle man and beast alike as you explore the vast open frontier, and witness to the intensity and excitement of the Battle of Bunker Hill — one of the most famous battles of all time.

Assassin’s Creed III is set for release on October 30th (31st in Europe) for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. A WiiU version is reportedly also in the works.
