Sony’s E3 details leaked by French employee
With E3 just around the corner expect to hear a lot of rumours, and well this is one of them. Over at the PS3Blog.Net they have received some information detailing to Sony’s E3 conference due to an employee in France leaking the information. Even though we are taking this information as a Rumour a lot of the below information seems likely.
- Sony will confirm the official name, pricing and release date of the NGP
- There will be 7 first party titles revealed for the NGP
- Hideo Kojima’s NGP project likely to be Peace Walker
- The Wipeout engine has been perfectly ported over to the NGP and you can expect the release of the game in the first quarter of the NGP’s launch
- Chance of another Metal Gear game on its way in the future
- There are 37 titles in the working for Sony platforms, but most will not be revealed until a European event (likely Gamescom)
- Sony will reveal titles that will not be available until Christmas 2012 at E3
- Santa Monica Studios will be on board, but don’t expect much more information about the title (potentially next God of War title)
- A sequel to Warhawk will be revealed before E3
- 2 PS3 exclusives won’t be presented at E3 but will be available before the end of the year in Europe
- Twisted Metal, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 and The Last Guardian will be playable at E3
- Polyphony Digital are returning with a new title before March 2012
- Polyphony would like to make Europe a privilege for its next title. “Please don’t underestimate their work even if they deceived some of you.”
- A Rockstar game, probably GTA V, could be released before Agent was planned to be
- A third party title is in a “big battle” with Sony. The developers seem to be Bungie, so the game would be their next project with Activision.
Lastly, the employee says this:
We’ve been shown Uncharted 3 demo quickly in a little clip internally. And it was super cool. The playable scene was as surprising as the Uncharted 2 sequence presented few years ago at E3. it’s really stylish. Some people will say it’s like Uncharted 2.5 but I loved it.
Ono says Street Fighter should be a lot like Football
Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has stated in a recent interview about his beloved fighting series and what his ultimate goal is for the series when he spoke with The Guardian.

“You said that Street Fighter IV 3D is a stepping stone. Where do you want to take Street Fighter?
Until very recently fighting games have been a niche. In order to play you needed to understand all the rules, you had to know exactly what to do in every situation. The genre has been isolating itself from non-hardcore gamers. But I want Street Fighter to be a tool, like playing cards or a chess board – you just need the pieces and everyone can play, not just the elite. It will take a few more generations to get to that utopian point, but what the 3DS has done is enable me to take the first step toward my grand scheme.
Is it difficult to move toward the mainstream without alienating those hardcore fans?
A quick metaphor: think of the Premier League. When Manchester United play Chelsea, you have the most professional, skilful players taking part, so any kid just out of school can’t join that team. However, just because not everyone can play for Manchester United doesn’t mean no one plays football. Until recently, we only ever aimed Street Fighter at the high end, we’ve been neglecting people who want to play at their own level. So what we’ve done with Super Street Fighter IV 3D is, we’ve retained the hardcore elements, but we’ve lowered the entry barrier, so people can play in the way they want to play, rather than having to aspire to be hardcore. We’ve established a very important milestone here.”
Tango Gameworks’ Shinji Mikami now "available" in action figure form
What the… I don’t even… Over at the Bethesda Blog, there is a mention that you can purchase a an action figure of Tango Gameworks’ Shinji Mikami.
If you actually curious to see if you can buy the damn thing (…I was just curious) you can check out the “shopping” page where it lists photos of the glorious figurine that has the following features:
- It’s one-of-a-kind
- 6.5 inches tall
- Has over 250 moving parts.
- His naturally gentle smile contrasts with his grim workplace visage.”
- Can launch into outer space
- Has “real shaving action” with a beard that grows 1/4 inch per minute
- 1/10 scale
- And if you buy the limited edition version he will spout random puns!
So er…Yeah. I guess it must be April 1st over at Tango Gameworks. And if it is real, we’ll see if we can get one to “review”.

Louie Spence crowns Kevin Cruise as Champion at the Dance Central Spring Dance-off
Today, in Covent Garden the very enthusiastic dance star Louie Spence crowned Got To Dance’s Happiness/Britain’s Got Talent’s Kevin Cruise as the champion of the Dance Central Spring Dance-off, which put the television stars, Happiness and Kevin Cruise, against one another in the ultimate dance-off on Kinect for Xbox 360.
A capacity crowd of fans arrived in Covent Garden to put a spring in their step and cheer on their favourite to victory, as they danced along with Happiness and Kevin Cruise. The dance stars performed to a track from Dance Central, the KinectTM for Xbox 360 exclusive game which lets dancers of all ages and skill levels move, groove and get fit – all completely controller-free.
“The great thing about dancing is that anyone can do it and actually get fit at the same time,” said Louie Spence of Pineapple Dance Studios fame. ‘Kinect for Xbox 360 lets you and your mates dance in your own living room, with no controllers, so you can just move and groove all you want. You can dance your way to a hot body, just like mine, all in time for Summer.”
In addition to the dance-off event, Xbox 360 hosted a pop-up shop in Covent Garden where consumers could trial a variety of unique Kinect game experiences. As Dance Central is the European sponsor of Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour 2011, a pair of concert and meet and greet passes to one of her upcoming UK shows was also awarded to one lucky fan.

Rumour: Zelda 3DS Master Quest confirmed?
In the recent GDC event a lot leaked news and gameplay videos have been hitting the internet. We have just had word that CNM have found out some new information for the new upcoming port The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time will have Master Quest included.
The news that we received comes from a Conservative New Media interview with a Associate Public Relations Manager for Nintendo of America, David Young at GDC which took place this week.
“The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D also comes with not only The Legend of Zelda but it also comes with the Master Quest, so it’s like two games in one.”
Ocarina of Time’s Master Quest Mode will feature re-mastered dungeons that are designed to test the skills of the hardened Zelda fan.
For those who don’t remember It originally appeared on the Nintendo 64 DD console which was released only in Japan but those who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker in 2003 received a Gamecube disc featuring both Ocarina of Time and the Master Quest version of the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D currently has a June release window. Expect more details in the upcoming weeks.
