Deus Ex: Human Revolution Soundtrack Listed on Amazon for Release in November

The original soundtrack for cyberpunk epic Deus Ex: Human Revolution is currently listed on Amazon with a November 15 release date.

The soundtrack was previously only available in the special “Augmented Edition” of the game, which was released the very same day as the standard edition in August. A mishap occurred for the PS3 version of the Augmented Edition, when the games soundtrack was accidentally put on a Blu-Ray disc. But the games publisher Square Enix resolved the issue by offering customers an MP3 version of the soundtrack, for as long as they contact customer support and show proof of purchase.

Amazon has placed a price tag for the Deux Ex: Human Revolution soundtrack at $12.95. No confirmation has been made yet as to other retailers providing the soundtrack. More information should be available later this week.

The games first downloadable content (DLC) pack, The Missing Link, which digs deeper into the conspiracies of the main game will be out later this month.

Battlefield 3 Vault Available to Pre-Order

The official Battlefield 3 Vaults for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are now available to pre-order.

The Battlefield-themed case is designed to protect your favourite console, as well as giving it a really awesome battle-hardened look with an exclusive smoke coloured body, and strapped to it is a DICE logo smoke grenade and a Claymore mine with LED lighting effects.

However, the protection that the vault offers for your gaming system is not the only practical purpose it possesses – it also claims to improve cooling by increasing airflow to your system.

The cases will sell for the suggested retail price of $89.99/£69.99 each. However, GameStop is offering PS3 fans a bundle offer, which will include the game, the Vault, and a redeem code to download the Battlefield 3 Physical Warfare Pack for a generous price tag of $99.99. The Battlefield 3 Vault is made by Calibur11, who shocked and awed people with the recently released Gears of War 3 Vault for the Xbox 360.

The Battlefield 3 Vault is expected to be released on October 27, 2011. Battlefield 3 will launch on October 25, 2011 in North America, followed by a European release on October 28.

DICE Is Still Interested In The Battlefield: Bad Company Series

DICE producer Patrick Liu has confirmed that the studio is still interested in continuing on with the Battlefield: Bad Company series.

With the single-player campaign of the award-winning Battlefield: Bad Company 2 left at a cliffhanger, and the upcoming Battlefield 3 on the way, many have questioned whether another Bad Company title will see the light of day.

In an interview with The Guardian, Liu said, “We haven’t killed Bad Company, but we can only make so many games. Be patient. There might be something else coming up.”

Despite the possibility that another Bad Company sequel could be on the way, don’t get your hopes up for anything coming out in 2012, as DICE isn’t aiming to have a Battlefield game every year.

“We don’t have any plans to make Battlefield an annual title,” he said. “We want to make it ourselves. We don’t want anyone else doing it, and no studio can make an annual franchise by themselves. Well, the sports titles can, but they’re a very different breed.”

For now, DICE is still focused on preparing for the launch of Battlefield 3, as well as planning content for after the release.

“There’s a still a lot of work to do,” Liu said. “And the launch is just the start really. We’ll then be releasing more content, tweaking and balancing the game. We have a team dedicated to servicing the game after launch.”

Battlefield 3 will be deployed on October 28, 2011 across the UK for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Sony’s “Long Live Play” TV Ad Celebrates YOU!

A new PlayStation ad has been unveiled by Sony, as part of the company’s new ‘Long Live Play’ campaign, dedicated to none other than the fans of PlayStation. This comes after a teaser trailer was unveiled by Sony last week, insinuating some kind of reveal scheduled for today.

Early last month, Sony made the announcement that they were on the lookout for “a few good gamers” to assist in a special assignment to the brand-new ‘Long Live Play’ campaign. Asking PlayStation fans to email pictures of themselves holding a PS3 controller and in 30 words-or-less; describe how they epitomize the ultimate PlayStation gamer. After reaming through the thousands of responses sent, here is the end result.

With the gobsmacking array of cameo appearances from both multi-platform and PS3-exclusive titles, the message of this campaign is simple – PlayStation and its titles would be nothing without the fans. How many video game icons can you pick out?

On the US PlayStation Blog, Sony’s VP of product marketing, Scott Steinberg had this to say:

It is our hope that this film showcases to all gamers the incredible characters and experiences that make PlayStation 3 the ultimate platform for people who love to game. You know that PlayStation has the industry’s best line-up of exclusive software titles, features highly immersive motion-control and 3D gaming, and free access to vast amounts of sports, movies, TV, games and more on PlayStation Network. Now, with your help, we’re spreading the word so the world knows that PlayStation continues to be the top destination for gaming.
