Lara Croft: Guardian of Light Review
Despite the titles lack of either tomb or raider, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the best Tomb Raider game in a long time. Lara has never quite faced an adventure like this before. She’s still diving for hidden gold, but Guardian of Light finds her playing co-op with a partner, introduces fun new arcade features, and gives a new perspective on the iconic heroine. In other words, this game will make you fall in love with Lara all over again. The story – as usual – is a fluffy excuse to run Lara through trap infested landscapes and encounter monsters. Story and dialogue I would say are the weakest parts of this game. Lara’s collection of one liners are unimaginative and somewhat painful to hear.
Transformers 3 Extra Critically Injured
A woman was severely injured in a stunt that went wrong on the Hammond, Indiana set, Transformers 3, has undergone brain surgery. The woman in question – Gabriella Cedillo – mother & brother told WBBM Channel 2 that the 24-year-old bank teller is now stable following an operation that took place Thursday afternoon.
Emma Roberts Spider-man Rumours
True believers and new comers alike, it’s time for Spider-man casting rumours. This one concerns Mr. P. Parker’s love interest in Marc Webb’s re-dux of Sam Raimi’s franchise. After Raimi walked away in January, Sony quickly publicized a new era for Spider-Man! Recently British actor Andrew Garfield bagged the main role leaving Tobey Maguire in the unemployment line, sorry Tobey but after you dancing in Spider-man 3 it’ll be nice to see a fresh face. The major interest for me – and I’m sure many fans too – is that Spidey’s love interest is not Mary Jane. Yes, that’s right. Not MJ. With no word on who this new lass will be, minds begin to wander… Liz Allen, Gwen Stacey, Betty Brand? Is discounting MJ from the film a mistake? Many seem to think so, but I think it is an endeavour that may prove fruitful. Apparently the role is so mysterious that even the actresses battling for the role are clueless to the character they’ll be asked to play.
BIOWARE’S ACTION RPG MASS EFFECT 2 MAKES PLAYSTATION 3 DEBUT
Today at GamesCom, Cologne; Germany, BioWare – a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) – announced that Mass Effect 2, the highest rated game of 2010 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and PC, is coming to the Sony PlayStation3 computer entertainment system in January 2011! Halo: Reach Video Begins the Biggest Game of 2010

Marvel Releases News on Spider-man Alternatives
Costumes, costumes, costumes! Come one, come all!
Now, who isn’t excited about the upcoming release of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, but there’s more reasons to be hyped up about the game’s September 7 release by featuring all the alternate costumes you’ll unlock in the game!
Here is a list all about Spidey’s alternates; with their stories and which universe they’re used in!
Costume: Cosmic Spider-Man
Dimension: All Dimensions
Story: A mysterious energy source known as the Uni-Power travels the universe in search of those most in need of its ultimate power–something Spider-Man knows all too well, having been chosen as a “Captain Universe” in the past. With the fate of reality itself in the balance, this persona has split itself through four dimensions, bonding with the Spider-Man of each. While this division has lessened its cosmic strength, the Uni-Power still offers a much welcome power boost to each hero.

Costume: Scarlet Spider
Dimension: Amazing Spider-man
Story: For a time, there were two Amazing Spider-Men. The second, a clone of Peter Parker who named himself Ben Reilly (taking the first name of “his” uncle and the surname of Aunt May), assumed the guise of the Scarlet Spider, fighting alongside his “brother” until Peter decided to take a break from super heroics. Soon after, Ben assumed the role of Spider-Man himself, until his death at the hands of the Green Goblin.
Costume: Negative Zone Suit
Dimension: Noir Universe
Story: When the Amazing Spider-Man attempted to free some innocent bystanders from a vortex leading to the Negative Zone, a hero named S.H.O.C. lent his Darkforce to Peter to help, altering his costume. And as far as Spider-Man Noir is concerned, its dark colors make for an excellent suit in which to sneak around.
Costume: Mangaverse Spider-Man
Dimension: Ultimate Universe
Story: In the Mangaverse dimension, a young Peter Parker boasts an expected assortment of spider powers, serving as a ninja in the Spider-Clan. After his sensei, Uncle Ben, was murdered by the evil Ronin Venom, Peter set out on a quest for vengeance. Though his dimension holds no Tablet pieces, it is every bit as threatened as all of the others, and he stands eager to assist should Ultimate Spider-Man need a breather.
Costume: Iron Spider
Dimension: 2099
Story: Tony Stark created this technologically advanced costume for Peter Parker shortly before the Heroic Age’s Civil War, but Peter parted with it after changing sides in the conflict. Somewhere along the way, Miguel O’Hara came across an Iron Spider costume of his own, possibly a relic once worn by a team known as the Scarlet Spiders that was trained by Taskmaster as part of the post-Civil War Initiative.
Costume: Spider-Armor
Dimension: 2099 Universe
Story: Peter Parker wore the Spider-Armor only once during his long stint as the Amazing Spider-Man, but its design has stood the test of time and has only grown more popular over the years. The pseudo-metallic compound Peter created to defend himself against the high-caliber firearms of the New Enforcers is cheap and commonly available in 2099, making authentic reproductions of Spider-Armor a Halloween staple. Miguel O’Hara dug this one out of his closet.
No information on how these will be unlocked within the game. However, you can get your hands on some of these suits sooner by pre-ordering Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions!

Jennifer Aniston Gets Her Restraining Order
Actress Jennifer Aniston was granted a restraining order against a man – Jason R Peyton, 24, – who her lawyers say planned to abduct her. Peyton has been ordered for the next three years to stay away from Aniston by the Los Angeles Superior Court. Peyton was detained by police on 20 July and has been sectioned. He was allegedly found with a sharp object, duct tape and messages he had written to Aniston, outside the star’s home waiting in a planned abduction.
In court papers, the actress’s lawyers said Peyton was a “diagnosed delusional paranoid schizophrenic” who “poses a credible threat of violence and imminent danger” to the star. Ex-Friends star Aniston had already obtained a temporary restraining order against him after he was picked up by police in July.

Spider-man: Shattered Dimentions – They're All Announced!
For months we’ve all been wondering what the final dimension of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions would be… Some – such as myself – had hoped for something radical such as Zombie Spider-Man while others hoped Activision and Marvel would go for the goof and include Spider-Ham; thanks god they didn’t! Last week thanks to some leaked box art we got a confirmation of sorts that Symbiote Spider-Man would likely make an appearance in the game. But even with the confirmation that Symbiote Spidey would be in action we still didn’t have a clue which universe it would be set in…
Well since its San Diego Comic week Marvel and Activision have finally revealed that Ultimate Spider-Man is the final dimension players will experience in Shattered Dimensions. I’m slightly saddened that Activision and developer Beenox run with their previous jewels and go for something more radical but with Carnage and Deadpool confirmed as bosses, they win me back onto their side.
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 7th.

is penned by Ian Edginton, who has been in the comic scene for more than two decades. Chris Mitten is the artist for Kane & Lynch and New York Times best selling artist Ben Templesmith is the cover artist. Both artists are known for their raw, sinister illustration style that clearly embodies the Kane & Lynch feel.
