The Social Network Full Trailer Released

Yep. It's actually happening.

The Social Network Trailer – HD from YouTube

About a year ago, there was talk about a movie about Facebook. When we heard about this, nobody knew what the hell David Fincher was doing. Then we found out that there are over 500 million users on Facebook and we suddenly understood.

It does seem a little… Ridiculous. I thought the idea would get scrapped straight away. A book was bad enough, but a blockbuster film?But it’s actually happening.

I saw this trailer in the pre-roll ads for Inception, but I felt it needed a whole separate post. What’s most surprising about the film is not only that the legendary David Fincher in directing it, but it has a pretty sweet cast, consisting of Jessie Eisenberg (Adventureland, Zombieland), Andrew Garfield (The next Peter Parker) and Justin Timberlake. The pitch must have been fantastic to get that sort of budget.

And I almost hate myself for saying it, but the film does look… Good. After all, I use Facebook. But it’s not just that. It looks like a behind the scenes of Facebook, the story behind what everybody uses every day and, while it is based on simple pop culture, it could end up being a gripping movie.

We won’t really know until this October, so there’s no way of knowing if this is just a gimmicky move by Fincher or if he will stun us with something brilliant.

With such a mysterious film, I guess I can only leave you with this;

Farmville

Lucky there's a Farmville iPhone app
