THQ Announces Red Faction Battlegrounds

It’s time to head back into the battlefield with a brand new downloadable Red Faction title coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

THQ today announced the development of Red Faction: Battlegrounds, the first downloadable title in the history of the acclaimed Red Faction sci-fi/action franchise.
The game is scheduled to release on the Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network in 2011. Red Faction: Battlegrounds will be focused on fast-paced mutliplayer with vehicular combat, heavy tanks and fast-attack vehicles will be in the game along with combat walkers. You will be battling above ground beneath the surface of Mars. Red Faction: Battlegrounds promises to stay true to the famous universe,
