Valve Has Nothing to Announce at E3 2012

As the Electronic Entertainment Expo is now a month away, rumours and speculation are at an all time high. Unfortunately, Half-Life developer Valve will not be surprising us this year, as Gabe Newell has stated that Valve will not be announcing anything at this year’s expo.

In an e-mail response to a fan pleading for new Half-Life details, Gabe writes -

“We are not announcing anything at E3. Really. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3.”

The letter was published at Valve fansite ValveTime and its content was confirmed by the developer.

This doesn’t mean Valve won’t be present at the event, instead they will just be showing off games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, as well as Steam’s Big Picture Mode.
