The first of Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s DLC has already landed, along with a trailer for the soon coming From the Ashes campaign.

The hardcore mode, which is out now and free to those who already have the game, is mostly self-explanatory, but features that make it truly hardcore include:

“No visible health or stamina bar, no more autosaving, even more realistic combat and world navigation.”

Also introduced in the hardcore mode are new perks (or penalties) including brittle bones, nightmares and claustrophobia.

From the Ashes is the first actual campaign though, and this is touted for release this month (July).

The trailer is brief, but it shows how Henry is promoted to a balif and tasked with building his own village.

It’s an interesting concept for the RPG and sounds like a fun idea – with building the actual village itself and dealing with the inhabitants’ problems. I’m interested to see how the building actually works.

You can watch the trailer in question below, and hopefully there will be more updates soon on the other DLC coming to the game.

I started gaming with the release of the PS1 - Crash Bandicoot and Ridge Racer Revolution being the first 'real' games I ever set eyes on - and have been enthralled with the medium ever since. I particularly love strategy and horror games, the sort offered by titles such as Total War and Silent Hill, though I also have a soft spot for a good RPG. I studied Journalism at university in the hopes of progressing into writing about games, but my 'real job' is as a postman. You'll most likely find me covering indie games as I'm always on the look out for interesting little titles, and generally I stick to the PC and PS4 platforms. I'm not interested in MMOs or really any kind of online game, and I have an unusual and frankly worryingly expensive obsession with collecting gaming guide books, but aside from that I like to think I'm a well rounded average gamer.
