It looks like The Clash was right, and lighting strikes not once, but twice – as after this week’s impressive outing in terms of new releases, next week’s PlayStation Store Update is looking to keep up the pace with another wave of new titles. And yes, it might not be as large or as impressive as this week’s, but it is still eerily large, as at least 11 more titles will be added to the store between the 14th and 19th of August.

  1. Observer – This particular title will satisfy many fans of the Horror genre, as it is set to chill you to the bone with its dystopian setting and horrors which lie within it. The title is set to capitalise not just on the horror, but also the widely known and respected Rutger Hauer, who is the main protagonist of the title. And if the replicant man who has seen things, which you people wouldn’t believe is the main star, you know that you’re in for something great. Price: TBA
    Date: 15th of August
  2. Agents of Mayhem – Some say it is destined to fail, others regard it as a potential sleeper hit. But regardless of what your opinion is on this title, and its erratic marketing campaign, you have to agree that it is the biggest title to launch on PlayStation 4 (and other platforms), next week. It’s stature also comes with an appropriately large price tag, as Agents of Mayhem will cost you staggering, AAA, £49.99.
    Date: 15th of August
  3.  Ken Follett’s Pillar’s of The Earth – Before the days of Harry Potter, English literature was regarded as one of world’s best. Works such as Heart of Darkness (Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski pen-name Joseph Conrad), and Eye of the Needle (Ken Follett), have sold millions of copies around the world, and have spawned multiple cinematic adaptations, but neither has ever received a full video-game treatment. That is until next week, as Ken Follet’s Pillars of The Earth is set to launch on the 15th of August. It’s based on the book of the same title, and will take you back to Medieval Britain, and present you with a story of which titles such as The Game of Thrones can be envious of.
    Price: TBA
    Date: 15th of August
  4. Undertale – ”Trash for Weebs” – Kamil Dyszewski, 2017.
    Date: 15th of August

In addition to the above titles, which are the creme de la creme of next week’s update, PlayStation Store will also bring you a plethora of other releases, as it is set to launch with seven other games, and each of them is just as intriguing as the other, and they will all come to light of the day simultaneously on 15th of August.

  1. Cities: Skylines – Price: TBA
  2. Matterfall – Price: TBA
  3. Nighogg 2 – Price: TBA
  4. Night Trap – Price: TBA
  5. Paranormal Activity The Lost Soul – Price: TBA
  6. Sonic Mania – Price: TBA
  7. Sudden Strike 4 (US Only) – Price: TBA

All the above titles will be available to users from all regions next week. However, on the 17th of August, a title known as Zero Time Dilemma will launch exclusively in North America. And that would be it for next week’s releases. But make sure come back here in 7 days or so, for yet another extensive PlayStation Store update, as this month 27 more games are set to be released on the PlayStation 4. But it is likely that it will be much more than that, as Sony likes to release a handful of games on top of what has been already announced, seemingly out of nowhere.
