Metro Exodus Pushed Back to Early 2019
Deep Silver and 4A Games has announced that the forthcoming Metro Exodus will be delayed until next year. Set to release this year, Metro Exodus will now release sometime during Q1 2019. What is being described as the most ambitious game in the series, Deep Silver and 4A Games wants to deliver the best game possible.
It’s not uncommon for a game in the Metro series to be delayed, but the extra time to improve the games have been well worth the wait and are certainly among my favourite games in recent times at least. However, there is some joy from the Deep Silver press release, as they did announce that there will be some new gameplay footage to show-off at E3 next month, which will include a “never before seen game environment”, so I can’t wait for that one.

Metro Exodus will release in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing. We have been constantly reviewing the games progress to ensure that we deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve, as well as keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products. We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best and therefore we have taken the decision to move the release date to Q1 2019.
