Yep this is definitely not a drill, as we are finally getting a brand new Mega Man game after 7 years since the release of 10. The new game will feature modernised side-scrolling action gameplay that retains its signature challenge whilst offering a variety of difficulty options for newcomers as well.

Rather than going full retro, the game will be visually driven by a 2.5D design that introduces beautiful hand-drawn characters and environments, giving a brand new twist to the game. The redesigned hero, Mega Man will once again go after the nefarious Dr. Willy and his robotic creations that are equipped with interesting weapons for players to hijack.  You can see the game in-action via a announcement trailer below.

Another announcement that happened at the 30th Anniversary live stream for Mega Man was regarding the 2 part Legacy Collections, which are now coming to Nintendo Switch in Spring 2018. It will make all mainline games of the series playable for newcomers to prepare for the eventual release of 11. The interesting news about the updated first Legacy Collection for Nintendo Switch is that it will have a rewind option, which allows you to go back in time following mistakes. This feature will also be available for those that own the game on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC already via an update.

Lastly, all eight games from the X Collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC next summer as well. The X Collection really introduced important abilities to the series such as armour upgrades and wall-jumps.

A solid release date hasn’t been given for Mega Man 11 as of yet, but it is expected to release late 2018 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

I am a guy who loves anything with a powerful storyline, whether it be a game, book or movie, it doesn't matter. Just so long as it hooks me in and keeps my imagination captive till the last word/scene! Also, I am huge Silent Hill fan, so I love all things Silent Hill... and anything horror.
