Capcom has announced a new retro collection of games from the 80’s and 90’s called The Disney Afternoon Collection, which makes perfect sense as most of us from that era would have likely rushed back from school to watch our favourite cartoon’s and to play our favourite videogames just before tea time!

The Disney Afternoon Collection includes Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, and DuckTales 1 and 2!  Graphically they will be in their original form, but jazzed up with 1080p HD visuals with various filtering options and they will also include all-new modes.

The new modes include Boss Rush, in which “player’s battle through challenging boss encounters consecutively”.  Time Attack mode will see you attempt to complete gameplay sections in the best time possible with your best times being uploaded to the online leaderboards.  There will also be a “Rewind” feature which allows you to swiftly correct any errors on your part, similar to what we see in many of today’s racers.  There will also be a Disney Museum, which will provide added information and history on each of the games, as well as some concept art, advertisements, original music and more.

This awesome retro collection of games will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 18th at £15.99/€19.99/$19.99.  Below you can watch the official announcement trailer, check out some screenshots and read up on further details via the official press release.

In 2013, we reviewed DuckTales Remastered; you can read our review here.
