Just last month, mere days prior to the title’s release, Madmind Studios announced that Agony, despite its fast approaching release date, would not be coming out for the foreseeable future. And when the developer in question initially made the announcement, it sounded like Agony had been put on hiatus as it has been delayed ‘indefinitely’.

Initially, most assumed that indefinitely meant that this particular title will not launch this, or even next year. However, it appears that the initial delay was not as sinister as the developer made it out to be, as Agony is set to launch across all platforms just next month. And you can get your first, complete taste of the title in question from the trailer, which you can find below.

Madmind’s Agony is a highly malevolent survival horror, where you are placed in the boots of a helpless protagonist who must escape Hell in order to earn his freedom. And while the premise of the title in question sounds rather bland, then it must be underlined that there is much more to Agony than meets the eye. And the final product is set to feature numerous complex mechanics such as the deep and profound possession system, and much more.

Agony is set to officially make its debut on the 29th of May, which means that it will land on stores’ shelves in just over a month. And yes, you will be able to purchase Agony in physical form across all three platforms, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. And depending on your system of choice, and the version of the game, it will set you back anywhere between £24.99 and £34.99.
