That’s right! Nintendo announced during their live stream event that they will be releasing an XL version of the 3DS, making it look, well, larger! This 3DS XL will feature larger screens, a bigger body and a longer battery life.
The Battery will last you approximately 6 to 10 hours whilst playing original DS games and 3.5 to 6.5 hours with 3DS Software, which beats what the current 3DS system gives users at the moment. The body measures at 46% larger, 93x156x22mm, with 90% larger screens!
The cost of the new console will be 18,900 yen in Japan, whilst North America gamers will have to pay $199.99 for it. This works out that in the UK, we may have to buy the console at around £150, however pricing for the UK and Europe have not been confirmed as of yet! It will be released in white, red and black in Japan, whilst the Americans get Blue and Red on the release date. The 3DS XL will also come with a bigger SD Card!
