Shank slices out a release date

Shank will be available for download on August 24 for PlayStation Network and August 25 for Xbox LIVE Arcade. The PC version still has no specific date, but it will be out around Fall 2010.

Shank is a side-scrolling action game, with unique stylized 2D art. Players will play as Shank, getting their hands bloody as they uncover the secrets behind Shank’s past and the reasons for his actions for revenge.

With a intuitive combat system, players unleash a tremendous number of creative combinations as they take down the waves of enemies standing in their path.

Shank will also feature a special co-op mission.Klei Entertainment has said the co-op portion will feature a separate storyline from the main game which is single-player, and gives you a bit of backstory on Shank.

The game was recently nominated for multiple “Best of E3” awards, including “Best Action Game” from IGN.com and “Best Downloadable Game” from GameTrailers.com.
