No Resident Evil 6 Planned for the Wii U

IGN recently sat down with Resident Evil 6 producers Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and Hiroyuki Kobayashi as well as Eiichiro Sasaki, and amongst a wide variety of questions, inquired about the possibility of Resident Evil 6 appearing on the Wii U:

“Unfortunately, RE6 will not be available at this time on the Wii U. Right now we’re concentrating on the PlayStation 3 version, 360 version and the PC version of the game.”

What do you think of this? Is it better to keep games as important as these away from the Wii U? It could have definitely provided some interesting use of the WiiU’s controller, though by the sounds of it, it isn’t to be!

The wording ‘not be available at this time‘ certainly doesn’t sound definitive however, and there may be future possiblities, we’ll keep you posted!
